LEARNING
In may 2015 school classes from the Silkeborg region participated in the workshop: "WE ARE MODULAR" by Louise Vind Nielsen and Till Wolfer.
Their task was to create an interior design for FabLab Silkeborg using the modular design system Common Cubes.
The goal was to engage the young students in an open design process.
The theoretical focal point was modularity, modular design and open design. What is modular design? What are the advantages and disadvantages of modularity? What is the connection between modularity and open design?
The students was trained in Design thinking and open design process, which teaches the students to become problem solvers and creators instead of consumers of design?
